SANYO has this month announced the launch of its national ‘Make a Noise’ competition to encourage and inspire music students and enthusiasts
throughout the UK to record their own music and compare it to tracks from all over the country. Calling on amateur musicians to record a demo showcasing their talent on the SANYO Xacti ICR-XPS01M Linear PCM sound recorder, the competition puts € 5,000 (approx. £4,200) of music equipment up for grabs for the winning school.
- Running through www.xacti-fm, a dedicated website to upload, share and rate tracks, secondary schools will each be given a SANYO sound recorder to loan out to students who can then upload their tracks ready to be rated online by their peers
- Encouraging students to enter, and their friends to rate their tunes, the pioneering electronics retailer is working to bring avid music fans and foes together to increase the odds of their school winning the top prize
- An ideal recording instrument for budding musicians, the pocket sized Xacti ICR-XPS01M sound recorder produces studio quality recordings and is already popular with professional musicians across the globe
- Worth £300, the sound recorder will be awarded to the winning composer, alongside a SANYO goodie bag, and € 5,000 (approx. £4,200) of music equipment will be provided for the school’s music department
