As the national centre for disability sports, we are extremely excited about hosting this IPC Shooting World Cup. This will be the fifth time we have hosted an international shooting event and it is a great honour to be welcoming competitors from 23 countries again this year. We offer state-of-the art facilities to help sports men and women flourish, and we hope that the world cup will help highlight the great facilities that are on offer.

He continued:

London 2012 Paralympic Games medallists will be returning to the UK to take part in the competition, including Great Britain’s very own James Bevis, who won bronze at the 2012 Games

Pasan Kularatne, Great Britain Performance Director, commented:

We are delighted that so many athletes from around the World are coming to Stoke Mandeville for what will be a great way to start the qualification campaign for Rio. All eyes this year are on the World Championships in Germany in July and the large GB team will all be aiming to put in good performances here to start the season positively
