Mitchells & Butlers names Kopparberg its Supplier of the Year, 2013
Pioneering Swedish cider brand caps record year for sales growth and industry recognition.
Swedish cider brand, Kopparberg has claimed the prestigious title of Mitchells & Butlers’ Supplier of the Year 2013 at the annual awards organised by the leading bar and restaurant operator. The independent fruit cider brand also picked up the award for Cider Supplier of the Year and a special commendation for Category Management at the event.

2013 is proving to be a special year for Kopparberg; as the brand posts record breaking sales as well as winning further recognition from both consumers and the trade, including Tesco’s Beer & Cider Supplier of the Year, The Publican Morning Advertiser’s Flavoured Cider Brand of the Year, inclusion on the Cool Brands list for 2013/14 and Best Performing Beer/Cider on the Youth 100 list for the second year in succession.

Record Consumer Demand
This summer delivered record sales for Kopparberg, as the brand posted volume increases in July of 79%, followed by a 55% increase in August compared with the same months in 2012. Having been named in the Cool Brands list for 2013, the company believes consumer demand will continue to grow in 2014 as the company further evolves its marketing and promotions strategy.
Kopparberg is the leading fruit cider brand in the UK, with latest research from Nielsen showing the brand has grown volume by 53.3% MAT in the Off-Trade and CGA reporting volume growth at 24% MAT, cementing its position as the UK on-trade’s leading packaged cider brand.
