The International Wine Challenge announces new UK Restaurant Wine List of the Year Award for 2018 in partnership with Bibendum Wine.
The International Wine Challenge (IWC) is sponsored by premium wine and spirits partner Bibendum Wine, on a new initiative to shine a light on the best wine lists available in the On Trade across the UK. The IWC Restaurant Wine List of the Year Award is a brand-new category that will assess the quality, variety, and value of wine lists at restaurants up and down the country.
- Entrants will be scored against set criteria including the range of varieties, countries, regions and wine styles on offer, value for money for the consumer, and the consistency of the information in the wine list. The objective of the criteria is to ensure that the awards showcase the innovation and excellence on offer in restaurants around the country.
- An initial shortlist for the category will be announced by the IWC on its website on the 4th of June 2018, before the overall winner is announced at the IWC Awards Dinner on 10th July 2018 in London. The competition is now open for entries via the IWC Merchants Awards UK website and the deadline for receiving entries is 11th May 2018.

This category is a first for the International Wine Challenge, and joins the IWC English Cellar Door Award, launched in 2016, as one of the newest categories in the competition. It marks the IWC’s commitment to constantly evolving its awards and innovating within the wine industry.
