Glitter up! ibis is giving festival-goers service with added sparkle this summer

Professional glitter artists and kits will get people festival-ready at four hotels nationwide this summer.

A festival isn’t a festival without a head full of glitter, but there’s a fine line between human disco ball and bejewelled wonder. This summer, ibis is sprinkling a series of in-hotel glitter events across the UK for festival-goers.

Whether you’re a guest at one of the hotels or swinging by to get your shine on before dancing the day away, ibis will get you Glittered Up for your festival.

Professional glitter artists from festival-favourite Go Get Glitter will be stationed in the lobbies at selected hotels nationwide for the likes of Sheffield’s Tramlines Festival (20 July) and Notting Hill Carnival (25 August).

With biodegradable glitter pots and stencils in hand, they’ll work their magic to turn faces into mermaid scales, unicorn dust and lightning bolts, you name it.

The leading economy hotel brand is also spreading more sparkle with complimentary glitter kits for music fans heading to Splendour Festival in Nottingham, London’s Notting Hill Carnival and Fusion Festival in Liverpool. They’ll have everything they need to shimmer in style.

James Wheatcroft, VP Marketing Northern Europe at Accor, said: “People travel from far and wide to get involved in the festivals that are on ibis’ doorsteps. We are as passionate about music as they are, so from the minute they walk into our selected hotels we want their festival experience to start. We’re looking forward to seeing how people get glittered-up.”
