Chivas Brothers doubles down on the future of sustainable Scotch as global growth continues with FY sales +25%
Chivas Brothers, the Scotch whisky business of Pernod Ricard, has today announced its FY22 (July 2021 – June 2022) full-year performance and confirmed its focus on sustainability, following the Pernod Ricard FY22 Full-Year Sales and Results.
- The results confirm a significant increase in global whisky demand with net sales up +25%, from both mature markets (+16%) and emerging markets (+34%)
- All four of the whisky maker’s strategic international brands recorded record global growth, with key highlights from Chivas +29%, Ballantine’s +27%, Royal Salute +38%
- Sales were particularly robust in emerging markets with Brazil (+56%) and India (+43%) leading the way
- Strong results will help Chivas Brothers to continue to invest in portfolio innovation and the sustainable future of Scotch, particularly in the industry-leading target of achieving carbon neutrality by 2026
- The company shared progress on commitments to achieve 100% recyclable, reusable, compostable packaging by 2025. Plans to remove 2,000 tonnes of cardboard in the next fiscal year will begin with the removal of Chivas 12 cartons from autumn 2022
