About Burger & Lobster

Launched in 2011 with its first restaurant in Mayfair Burger & Lobster, the brainchild of George Bukhov-Weinstein started as ‘almost a joke’. Since the doors opened it’s made waves across the capital, earning it almost cult status for democratising the lobster. It has since gone on to international success with 12 restaurants in the UK with further locations in the USA, Sweden, Kuwait and Dubai.

Burger & Lobster Cracks the Menu Game…

B&L finally launches a menu to coincide with the opening of its new West India Quay restaurant.

Finally, London’s docklands can experience Burger & Lobster on home soil, as the restaurant opens the doors to its newest site at West India Quay, along with its Pina Cola-Bar offering. Opening on 2nd June, the lobster experts are also finally going to have a proper menu; a first for Burger & Lobster, who previously with no physical menu, used its team to describe its three menu items.

Burger & Lobster is trialling its way into the menu game and by doing so, is turning its own concept on its head. The menu is a response to customer feedback and the brand is working closely with guests to ensure it meets their needs as it ventures into new territory. Although the menu doesn’t cast the net too far from its origins, it gives diners more choice through the different sizes of burger and lobster on offer.

Maisie Denning, Head of Marketing commented, “Since day one, we’ve been inundated with emails, tweets etc asking what we serve. After receiving our 1,001th email we just gave in and thought, why not? We’re still keeping it pretty simple and focusing on what we do best (burgers, lobsters and an ace team) but trying to offer a bit more flexibility in portion size and price. Depending on feedback we’ll also have a go at some new flavour profiles through sauces and burger toppings so come in and give your suggestions to the team”

The West India Quay restaurant, which includes Burger & Lobster’s biggest outside terrace, will have two bars offering brand new cocktails and the finest in UK craft beer. To celebrate the brand’s arrival in the area, it has aptly renamed the DLR to BLR. If you take a pic of the newly named Burger Lobster Railway signs on launch day, B&L will ensure you are given a couple of drinks tokens to use during the opening night!*

The outside Pina Cola-Bar is dedicated to serve blended frozen cocktails only available at West India Quay and will include sharing sizes of Pina Coladas and Burger & Lobster’s very own take on the Rum Punch. The second bar will be dedicated to serving signature Burger & Lobster cocktails alongside some of the UK’s best in craft beer.

The B&L team will be out during the day in Canary Wharf on Thursday the 2nd of June handing out drinks tokens to come and toast the opening after work on Thursday – get em whilst you can. You can also tweet @Burger_Lobster to find out where the team is on the day.
