About BrewDog

We were bored of the industrially brewed lagers and stuffy ales that dominate the UK market. We decided the best way to fix this undesirable predicament was to brew our own beers. Consequently in April 2007 BrewDog was born. Both only 24 at the time, we leased a building, got some scary bank loans, spent all our money on stainless steel and started making some hardcore beers.

BrewDog and Oskar Blues join forces to brew up a storm

BrewDog, Scotland largest independent brewery is joining forces with Colorado brewery, Oskar Blues to create a collaboration beer from today.

Key figures from Oskar Blues are visiting the UK to create the collaboration brew as well as host a number of ‘Meet the Brewer’ events at BrewDog bars nationwide.  The two mammoths of craft beer will be creating an intensely hoppy American style Barley wine at BrewDog’s Ellon brewery.

Oskar Blues has been brewing since 1999 and has been making serious waves in the American craft beer scene in recent years.  The brewery’s ‘Dale Pale Ale’ was recently named ‘Best Pale Ale’ by the New York Times.

Key figures from Oskar Blues including chief brewer Dave Chichura will be hosting ‘Meet the ‘Brewer’ events at BrewDog bars across the country.  Special UK exclusive kegs will be served at the events, giving fans a chance to discuss all things craft beer and enjoy some fantastic brews.
