About BrewDog

We were bored of the industrially brewed lagers and stuffy ales that dominate the UK market. We decided the best way to fix this undesirable predicament was to brew our own beers. Consequently in April 2007 BrewDog was born. Both only 24 at the time, we leased a building, got some scary bank loans, spent all our money on stainless steel and started making some hardcore beers.

  • Hot on the heels of BrewDog Clapham Junction the brewery is already looking at a second bar location in Glasgow as well as Brighton and Liverpool.
  • Further afield, BrewDog also has plans to launch bars in Rome, Bologna, Helsinki and Berlin.
  • In the last five years, BrewDog has experienced an average annual growth of 285%, making it the fastest growing food and drinks company in the UK*.
  • BrewDog’s bar division has played a big part in that exceptional growth, with the brewery opening 22 bars in four years.
  • In April, BrewDog opened its first off-licence ‘BottleDog’ in Kings Cross, London and the brewery plans to open a series of additional locations this year.
  • Last year the brewery raised £4.25 million in a record six months in the third round of its pioneering crowdfunding scheme Equity for Punks.  2013 also saw BrewDog launch its state-of-the-art brewery in Ellon, Aberdeenshire. QUOTES

BrewDog co-founder James Watt commented:

“We’re thrilled to be setting up a BrewDog home in Clapham Junction. With a bar in North, East and West London, we knew we had to give the people of South London a bar on their doorstep. With bars in all four corners of the capital, it means Londoners should never have to travel too far to get their hands on some great craft beer.”

BrewDog co-founder James Watt commented:

“BrewDog Clapham Junction will be a destination bar serving the craft beer enthusiasts in the area. We’ve got a great spot, with the scenic Clapham Common just around the corner, the location couldn’t be better.”
