Josh Cooper, Health and Fitness Manager, commented:

At Wyboston Lakes Health and Leisure Club we are determined to help our local community achieve their best possible levels of health and fitness. Research has shown ‘Dry January’ to have numerous health benefits; University College London medical school and the New Scientist  found that if you stop consuming alcohol for a month, you could see amazing health benefits such as the reversal of liver damage, improved brain functioning and weight loss. We want to help people really understand this and also see the importance of drinking in moderation throughout the year – starting 2014 as they mean to go on!
